Carina's Jewels

PENNINO: The Italian Pennino family started making fine newelry in New York in 1926, and enlarged their business to making also gold-plated jewlelry under the name Pennino Bros until 1960. Many of their designs referred to Italian cultural icons such as Pinocchio and Pulcinella, others included bunches of flowers, bright colors, and rounded designs including bows and ribbons. Many pieces are extravagantly large, but they are extremely difficult to find. They are among the most expensive pieces collected today, and very hard to find in good condition.
